The Board of Directors have decided to begin our fiscal campaign using a direct appeal to the arts community through the crowed funding source: gofundme.com
In keeping with our intent to be a completely independent educational organization, dedicated to the needs of artists, unhindered by selective institutional requirements that may have nothing to do with the goals and objectives of individual learners we have decided to inaugurate our fiscal campaign directly to the arts community for assistance in beginning our programs. The Board of Directors felt that direct action, a straightforward appeal to the artistic community would be the most consistent means of seeking charitable, tax deductible contributions to initiate this educational work.
Our initial goal is to raise $20,000 to cover the expense of renting space at which to present our workshops, studio equipment, producing promotional materials and operating our web page (the organizational cost for the initial development of the Vita Institute have been provided by the members of the Board of Directors).
The Vita Institute for the Arts is a 501 (c) (3) public charity under the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore all contributions to the VITA Institute for the Arts are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. Vita Institute for the Arts is qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.
The VITA Institute for the Arts is a non-profit organization certified and in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State.
